COMPETITIVE RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

According to Gymnastics Australia’s RG National Levels Program, there are 10 Levels in total. Level 1 being an entry level and level 10 – the most difficult. In general, gymnasts progress one level per year. However, for some gymnasts it may be necessary to spend 1.5 or 2 years in the same level, in order to achieve the necessary skills to progress. Sometimes gymnasts are offered to skip one level, due to their extremely fast improvement, dedication and skills development.

Alongside the Australia’s RG National Levels Program, there is also an International/Elite stream of Rhythmic Gymnastics that follows the Federation of International Gymnastics (FIG) code of points. Participation in International competition stream requires a significantly higher level of commitment and competency. Gymnasts that are seen to show true potential for this elite program, have a high level of commitment, perseverance and dedication, will have the opportunity to be selected and invited to join our development squad.
